About our President
Orlando Seale, Dipl., ThB, BSc., MA., DMin., CBE, Esq.
His Story
As we welcome you to our new website, we also welcome the opportunity to introduce you to our President, Rev. Dr. Orlando Seale, CBE; Esq. Serving as our13th president, Dr. Seale was inducted into office in a ceremony on 26th of May,2017.

President Seale is a Barbadian by birth and has lived there for most of his early life with his mum, three siblings and other relatives. Rev. Seale is proud of his heritage and the privilege of having been raised by two grandmothers. He is also blessed to still have his elderly parents and six siblings as a very supportive family network.
For the past 39 years, our president has been happily married to his darling wife, Marcelle, nee Mc Collin. He says, “My wife is the wind beneath my wings and the joy of my life.” Together, they have been blessed with two sons, Renaldo and Ricardo. Their first son, Renaldo is a 37 -year-old honors graduate of the University of the West Indies and Cum Laude graduate of the Caribbean Nazarene College. Married for the past 9 years to his wife Nicole, the couple has made our president the proud Grandfather of Elijah 6 and Amiyah 3 years old. Renaldo and Nicole serve as pastor and wife in Barbados where Renaldo also teaches at the secondary level.

The Seales were blessed with their second son, Ricardo for 19 years until he died in an unfortunate drowning incident in 2009.President reports that Ricardo was passionate about his faith in Christ and therefore died with an eternal hope. The Seales are therefore at peace with the will of the Lord even with the loss.
“Snatched as a branch from the burning” Orlando was born- again in 1976 and answered the call to pastoral ministry after five years of growth, ministry and soul-searching. He entered the Caribbean Nazarene Theological College (CNTC) in 1981 and after three years of holistic growth, he graduated top of his batch with a Diploma in Ministerial Studies. He was also privileged to serve as the Student Body President in his final year.

Since his graduation, Rev Seale continued his quest for knowledge by completing two first degrees including a Bachelor’s in Sociology with Psychology from the University of the West Indies. He also completed studies for his Bachelor’s, Master’s and Doctorate in Biblical (Nouthetic) Counselling.

After pastoring three congregations over 15 years, co-founding the denomination’s credit union and being elected to serve on most of the national boards of the denomination, the District Advisory Council elected him to be appointed as successor to the outgoing district superintendent. This is a role for which he was well prepared having served as an advisor to his predecessor for ten consecutive years and acted as Superintendent on a number of occasions. Rev. Seale was therefore appointed to the office on December 1st, 1998. For four consecutive four -year terms since his induction to office, the District Assembly elected the incumbent to serve until he demitted office in 2017 after 18 years at the helm. Dr. Seale is the youngest and longest serving district superintendent in the Barbados district’s 99- year history.

It is with this rich legacy of leadership that, Dr. Seale relinquished his assignment in Barbados and answered the Macedonian call to assume the presidency of the Caribbean Nazarene College at a very critical juncture of its history.

Since assuming the presidency in 2017, Dr. Seale has continued to lead the College through a process of challenge and change. Despite the many difficulties, he still finds time to work with the Evangelical Association of the Caribbean (EAC) as a member of its Congress on Leadership Development and to be Vice Chair of the newly established Caribbean Network for Christian Scholars (CNCS). These networks have been a rich source of encouragement to him. One other source of motivation was the action of the Barbados government to recommend our president to Queen Elizabeth the 2nd for her New Year’s honors list for 2018.On that occasion, Dr. Seale received the third highest honour in the British Commonwealth when the title of, Honorary Commander of the British Empire, CBE; Esq. was conferred on him by the Governor General of Barbados.

As our president always says, “Never despise small beginnings” through CNC, the Lord has helped him to surpass anything he could have asked or imagined. He can do the same for you.

To God be the glory!
